
Valerie White, Founder
Valerie A. White MS. Ed., holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration from the College of Charleston, as well as a Master of Science in Special Education from the College of Staten Island. She is dually licensed as a General Education and Special Education teacher. She served in New York City inner-city public Schools for over a decade, receiving exceptional training from internationally- and nationally-recognized instructional leaders.
While in New York, she served in many capacities, including Special Education Staff Developer, Literacy and Math Coach, Data Specialist, Testing Coordinator, Learning Specialist, and Bilingual Instructor. She has also written and awarded Staten Island Foundation Children’s Literacy Project Grants for PS 5, PS 39, and PS 50 based on data-driven intervention and training.
Since coming to Charleston, Ms. White has continued her focus on integrated curricular units of study and strategic instruction by focusing on multiple sources of accurate, reliable assessments and student data. She started Capabilities in her home and has fostered a community learning environment that has grown to serve nearly 300 students. Our academic support team continues to strive for accurate assessment in order to consistently deliver results.
